 Killester Garden Village Residents Association

Traffic through the Area

The committee have made a submission on your behalf and included the Petitions you have signed.
The committee wish to thank all those who signed the Petition - over two thirds of our Residents signed the Petition in the Summer 2007 Newsletter.
Unfortunately, the Traffic Advisory Group did not recommend restricting access to Killester Garden Village.

Your Committee are currently considering the possibility of erecting appropriate safety signage on all roads in the area.

Proposed Traffic Camera on the Howth Road

A number of concerned residents and committee members met recently with Public Representatives and DCC traffic officials in relation to this issue. We raised the potential problems of privacy, security and visual amenity on the siting of this traffic camera. DCC have deferred the construction of the traffic camera.

Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

The Residents' Association Committee met with the local Community Garda from Raheny Garda Station recently.

We would advise all residents to be mindful of personal and home security at this time of year.

Killester Garden Village area is zoned Z2

On the 14th March 2005 the residents of Abbeyfield, Middle Third and The Demesne have succeeded in having their neighbourhood rezoned from its original status as a Z1 residential zone to a Z2 residential conservation zone. This was passed at a meeting of Dublin City Council on 14th March.
